Every story page now includes a "context panel" on the right-hand side. This lists 10 other stories from the same topic around the time of the main story, as well as one story from each other topic from the same time.

There are now search boxes incorporated into every page, and new functionality added to the search engine (more to come).

All these changes are intended partly to enhance the usefulness of the newsreel as a permanent archive of all things Arsenal. Hopefully its usefulness as a breaking news service is enhanced too.

There are bound to be a few bugs in the system, and it's on a new server which may be tested by the sudden increase in traffic! But hopefully there's nothing too problematic. I've tried to make it so it degrades well in various browsers but will try to add more adaptability if I hear it's needed by anyone.

Incidentally, I will be getting round to changing the links so you don't get all those redirect pages when moving between the newsreel and other parts of the site, but I'm going to wait a few days because it'll make it easier to recover the old system if the new one goes pear-shaped!
