WAP technology is poised for an exciting renaissance (!) with the
advent of the new improved ArseWap service.
The recent revamp has enabled me to (finally) sort out
the automatic generation of a wap version of this newsreel.
The ArseWap newsreel now features the last 15 newsreel stories,
and is updated along with this web database. There's also
a page of wap links, please let me know if you know of
any good links I should add to the list.
The address for the site has changed to
http://www.arseweb.org/wap/
(the old address now just provides a link through to the new one). See our mobile phone stuff page
for more, including how to view the pages over the web.
As always, there may be teething troubles, particularly as
I've only been able to test on a limited range of devices.
Please let me know if you encounter any problems.
Incidentally, another even less useful new feature added recently is nifty little graphics that should appear in MS Internet Exploiter ( and
maybe some other browsers) when you add ArseWeb pages to your
"favourites". Just try removing and then reinserting the
entries in your favourites list.
