It's been a while since I mentioned the WAP version of the NewsReel.
The truth is, I'd as good as forgotten about it. When I wrote the software to generate the mobile phone version of our news database, WAP phones were, not to put too fine a point on it, a bit shit.
It seems to me that things have changed, and as I've found myself accessing the net from my phone more and more, it occured to me that perhaps other people are too (sharp as a knife, me).
ArseWap, as it was inevitably named, can be accessed at http://wap.arseweb.org/ and features the most recent 15 or so NewsReel articles, in full.
There's also a links page tailored specifically for Arsenal fans.
Now, the main reason I'm writing this is to ask for feedback.
- Does anyone use it?
- Does it work alright for you?
- Would you like more?
I'm prepared to have a go at doing more stuff like making a
WAP version of the ArseSouls database. But I'm not going to do it if no-one's going to look at it ever.
