As mentioned in this previous newsreel item, the Arsenal U18 team take on Middlesbrough in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final. Arsenal are playing a strong looking 11, as announced on AFCi:
Stack; Volz, Chilvers, Halls, Galli; Noble, Field, Ricketts, Pennant; Bothroyd, Barrett.
Kick off is 7pm at Highbury.
The FA Premier Academy leagues have now reached the playoff stages. As winners of their league sections, both the U17 and U19 teams received a bye in the first playoff round, played last weekend. This Sat 25 March, the U17s take on QPR at London Colney, kickoff 10.45 in the 2nd round. The U19s play the winners of the Huddersfield v Birmingham City 1st round tie, which we have yet to discover the result of.
