Arsenal Ladies take on Millwall Lionessess in the second round of the London County Cup this Sunday 19th November with a 2pm kickoff at the Ladies Home of Football at Borehamwood.
The London County Cup is a competition between ladies clubs in the London region (yes I know the Ladies play all their home games in and around Hertfordshire!) and normally features the likes of Arsenal, Millwall and Wimbledon. This season though it has been joined by Charlton Ladies (who in their former disguise of Croydon used to always win the Surrey County Cup) and Rachel Yankey's (ex-Arsenal) professional Fulham outfit. Unfortunately an almost full strength Charlton have already been knocked out 5-1 by Fulham. Arsenal Ladies are of course the current holders of this cup having beaten Wimbledon in last seasons final.
Arsenal's opponents in the first round should have been Leyton Orient but they withdrew and so the Ladies got a bye.
Meanwhile Arsenal Ladies have played Millwall already this season in the Ladies Premiership notching up an impressive 10-0 victory.
