England win 4-1 on aggregate
The scorers for England were Sue Smith (Tranmere Rovers) with a little bit of help from the Ukranian keeper and ex-Gunner Rachel Yankey following a cross from current Gunner Angela Banks.
From the Arsenal Ladies Marieanne Spacey played the first 60 minutes, Angela Banks played the first 86 minutes and Faye White came on for the last minute.
The attendance at Leyton Orient was over 7,000 which is a record for an England Ladies home international. England Ladies now join seven other teams for Euro 2001 - the host nation for which will be decided by UEFA in January. |
