England Ladies and Arsenal Ladies news (Update - 25/03/01) by Mark

this is story 246 of 741 in this topic to date
Don't forget that tonight (22/3/01) at Luton's Kenilworth Road ground the England Ladies (possibly featuring Marieanne Spacey, Faye White, Angela Banks and Kirsty Pealling from the Arsenal Ladies at some point) take on Spain Ladies in a friendly for the build-up to this years European Championships. The kick-off is 7:45pm. The cost is £3 for adults and no cost (we think) for concessions.

On Sunday (25/3/01) the Arsenal Ladies travel to Bristol Rovers Memorial Ground for the FA Cup Semi-final against Bristol Rovers Ladies with a 3pm kickoff. If you're not going on the coach from Highbury and are travelling independantly then to get to the ground do the following -

Head west out of London on the M4. At Junction 19 turn left onto the M32 towards Bristol City Centre. Come off at Junction 2 and take the third exit from the roundabout which should be signposted Horfield, Southmead and the Memorial Stadium/Ground. Follow this road for about 2 miles and you will see the ground on your left. Turn left into Filton Avenue for more direct access. Parking is available down the side streets. Pubs and food outlets are available in Gloucester Road which is located at the other end of Filton Avenue.

Not sure on the entrance fee at the turnstiles for this one!

Update Number 1 - Thanks to Arseweb reader Gareth Pointer who tells us that the admission price should be £3 for adults and free for concessions for this one.

Update Number 2 - This game is still on as far as we are aware. Certainly the midweek game at home for Bristol Rovers men was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch but this Saturdays mens home game for them is still going ahead so we assume the ladies game will too. Arseweb will endeavour to find out for you so please look at this article again approx 10am on the Sunday for latest news.

Update Number 3 - Game on! See you on the M4.
