Arsenal Ladies won their first piece of silverware for the
season today, with a 3-0 win over Tranmere in Chester.
Tranmere wasted a couple of good chances in the first few minutes, but Arsenal got on top after that and emulated the Arsenal first team with a first half of many missed opportunities. Spacey came closest with a long-range blast which hit the woodwork.
It wasn't till 10 minutes into the
second half, that we got in front thanks to 2 goals in as many minutes from Spacey. Both were created by passes from Jane Ludlow, and both dispatched into the bottom left hand corner by the Arsenal and England star. Angela Banks made it 3 with
5 minutes to go.
