The Ladies enter the final few weeks of the season with quite a few games left so much so that games are having to be played midweek - one of which is away to Tranmere Rovers. Don't forget they are still in the driving seat for three more trophies. Anyway here's the diary:
Sunday April 22nd - Home to relegation-threatened Southampton Saints at Borehamwood with a 2pm kickoff. Previous results against the Saints this season are a 9-1 win away in the Premiership and a 5-1 win at home in the League Cup. The Arsenal Ladies reserves are also in action at the same time at Herts County FA, Baldock Road, Letchworth playing in the Reserve League Cup Final against Doncaster Belles reserves.
Wednesday April 25nd - London County Cup Final at the Metropolitan Police Sports Ground (Imber Court, Ember Lane, East Molesey) against Fulham with a 7:30pm kickoff.
Thursday April 26th - The following day the Ladies are away to also relegation-threatened Millwall at Carshalton FC (War Memorial Sports Ground, Colston Avenue, Carshalton. Next door to Carshalton railway station.) with a 7:30pm kickoff.
Sunday April 29th - Away to also relegation-threatened Barry Town with a 2pm kickoff. Directions to be posted on this website at a later date.
Monday May 7th - FA Cup Final at Selhurst Park (Crystal Palace) against Fulham with a 3pm kickoff. Expect this time to see the full first team playing though. Tickets are £3 in advance for adults (£5 on the day) and £1 for concessions. To buy tickets call the hotline on 0208-771-8841. Don't forget it's a bank holiday.
Thursday May 10th - Away to Tranmere Rovers with a 7:30pm kickoff. As most of the Arsenal Ladies first team work for Arsenal or it's offshoots then expect a full first team turnout as they'll easily be given the working day off. Directions to be posted on this website at a later date.
Sunday May 13th - The last game and it's at home against Doncaster Belles with a 2pm kickoff. This is the game that has been tried to be played four times already but due to numerous reasons has been cancelled. It could of course be a "winner takes all" scenario. The Belles are currently (20/4/01) 4 points behind Arsenal in the Premiership with a game in hand. Therefore assuming that both teams win all their games prior to this then the Belles will be a point behind and will need to win and our Ladies will just need a draw. Anybody suffering from post-Mens FA Cup Final from the day before is most welcome to come along and suffer again.
