Final score from Borehamwood in the Ladies Premiership:
Arsenal Ladies - 7 Southampton Saints - 1
There were four goals from Marieanne Spacey who even treated us to one of her specialities - scoring direct from her own corner-kick. Jayne Ludlow (2) and Angela Banks (1) got the other 3 goals.
It was nice to see the superior being and Ladies President Mr David Dein turn up for the game. Also nice to see there was ex-Gunner Rachel Yankey now with Fulham but we at Arseweb believe she was sent as a spy because of the forthcoming London County Cup and FA Cup Finals against them.
With Doncaster Belles also winning at Everton 5-1 there is no change at the top except Arsenal's far superior goal difference increases even more. Therefore all eyes are still pointing to the final game on May 13th which may even be held at Highbury.
