Arsenal Ladies reserve squad cunningly disguised as the Arsenal Ladies first team lost 3-0 tonight to Fulham Ladies professional first team by 3-0 in the not-really-that-important London County Cup final. So absolutely no pointers as to who will win the more important FA Cup next month. There was only one regular first team member playing (Casey Stoney) whereas Fulham were at full strength except they were without ex-gunner Rachel Yankey who is out with a knee injury. One wonders how the Fulham defence will cope with Marieanne, Angela and Jayne in Round Two.
Meanwhile the real Arsenal Ladies first team squad take on relegation-threatened Millwall in the Premiership tommorrow (Thursday) night at Carshalton with a 7:45pm kickoff. Results against Millwall this season were a 10-0 thrashing in the Premiership plus a 3-0 win by the reserves in an earlier round of the London County Cup. |
