Kit man and Arsenal Ladies boss Vic Akers has a few interesting things to say in an interview with Monday's edition of The Guardian, tying in with the FA Cup Final.
Vic says he's 'upset' at what's happening at Fulham, the country's only pro team, where 'someone has banged in a lot of money' without building the foundations. (All the more incentive to beat them at Selhurst later, Vic!)
Vic insists that his role with the Ladies doesn't interfere with his backroom responsibilities - but admits that there is a wider clash between the men's and ladies' game.
'I think the women's game may have to make changes, maybe a summer league,' he suggests. 'The same day Arsenal played Chelsea in the Cup, we played Doncaster at Borehamwood. We got two men and a dog - not surprising really.'
- Don't forget - the Ladies game is live on Sky Sports 2 and BBC Radio Five Live (and also on the Net!).
