With little really to play for, having won the first leg 5-0 at Highbury, Arsenal's youngsters went down 3-1 at Ewood Park... but it was enough to beat Blackburn's youngsters 6-3 on aggregate, and retain the FA Youth Cup.
Ben Chorley, a centre-back in the Adams mould, got the Arsenal goal in the dying moments of the first half, scoring from the edge of the Rovers penalty area - and making amends for the deflection at the other end minutes earlier, which gave Blackburn their second goal.
French youngster Jeremie Aliadiere was named Man Of The Matches, but pity the poor Sky Sports touchline reporter who had to inform him of the great news... he doesn't speak a word of English.
