| Watford take Noble loan |

Arsenal's 19 year old reserve midfielder David Noble has joined Watford on a year's loan. The official Watford site says the loan is with a view to a permanent transfer. Noble joins a veritable Hornet's nest of ex-Gunners midfielders, Hughes & Vernazza being already in residence at Vicarage Rd.
It remains to be seen whether this turns into a permanent deal. It would be somewhat surprising if the extraordinarily talented youngster is allowed to leave without being given a first team chance at all by Wenger, though there are perhaps one or two question marks over his temperament. And Arsenal are currently somewhat overstocked with central midfielders... |
