Arsenal Ladies have started this seasons Premiership campaign with a 5-2 victory at Leeds Ladies.
The scorers were Marieanne Spacey with a hat-trick, Ciara Grant and Jayne Ludlow. Unfortunately Casey Stoney was sent off.
Arsenal's main rivals Doncaster Belles beat Southampton 5-1 at home so they lead the table on the opening day by the single extra goal scored.
Arsenal Ladies take on the Doncaster Belles at Borehamwood next Sunday with a 2pm kickoff - contact the Arsenal Box Office to obtain a voucher than can get up to 6 people free into the match. Arsenal Ladies have won the last 5 matches against the Doncaster Belles - the latest was last week in a 5-2 victory in the Ladies Charity Shield.
Meanwhile the men take on Leeds men on Tuesday night............
