| Clare Wheatley forced to retire |

Due to the horrendous knee injury that happened against the Doncaster Belles in the Charity Shield, Clare Wheatley of the Arsenal Ladies has been forced to retire. It was on the same knee that suffered the same injury a few seasons ago. During her time at Arsenal Ladies Clare also represented England. However as she is employed as the Arsenal Ladies Development Officer her relationship with the club is far from over.
In yesterdays Premiership League game both teams lined up for Clare who was also presented with a boquet of flowers from the 'Belles.
