Final score from Borehamwood:
Arsenal Ladies - 3 Southampton Saints - 1
Arsenal Ladies faced a difficult game this afternoon against a Southampton Saints side that was far improved than the one fielded last season. Arsenal's Jayne Ludlow started the scoring in the first half but this was cancelled out when Southampton Saints equalised mid-way through the second half. Faye White scored Arsenal's second soon afterwards with Ellen Maggs getting the third just before the final whistle.
With Charlton's match against Leeds postponed this means that for the first time this season Arsenal Ladies lead the Premiership. |
