Final score from Borehamwood in the Ladies League Cup First Round:
Arsenal Ladies - 8 Ipswich Ladies - 0
Ipswich Ladies are in the bottom half of the Southern Division One (which is the league below the Premiership) and the gulf was shown with goals coming from Marieanne Spacey (x2), Ciara Grant (x2) and Jayne Ludlow.
Angela Banks, back from injury, came on as a substitute with 20 minutes to go and scored a hat-trick.
Arsenal Ladies were without their England threesome of Casey Stoney, Faye White and Kirsty Pealling as they are preparing for the Germany v England game on Thursday night (27th). This is the first game for England Ladies in the World Cup Qualifiers.
Arsenal Ladies next games are the three in Switzerland from October 1st to October 5th as part of the inaugural Ladies European Cup.
