England Ladies lost 3-1 away to Germany Ladies in the first match of the qualifying phase for the Ladies World Cup in 2003. Arsenal Ladies were represented by Faye White who played the whole game and Kirsty Pealling who came on as sub in the 65th minute. England Ladies consolation goal came from ex-Gunner Rachel Yankey (now professional at Fulham).
England Ladies next face Holland Ladies in another World Cup qualifier - this is being played at Grimsby Town on Sunday November 4th with a 4pm kickoff.
