Yesterday I reported
that Rohan Ricketts has turned pro.
Today's announcement on Arsenal.com says that 2 young strikers have
taken the same step.
Carlin Itonga is 18 and has been doing really well for the under-19s. He's scored 5 in 5 matches this season, and last season
he scored a record 7 goals against Ipswich as well as putting a couple away in the triumphant FA youth cup run.
David Bentley is just 18. He's played for England U15s and U16s,
and was top scorer for our U17s last year with 15 goals. He's in
our U19 squad now, and has also made a substitute appearance for the reserves. |
