David Platt was at FA headquarters in Soho Square this afternoon to help make the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. He plucked Arsenal from the bag to give them a home tie with either Bristol Rovers or Colchester United. The game is likely to be played at Highbury on December 9th, the start of Arsenal's attempt to be the first team to win the cup 3 times in a row.
A few of the other big names have been drawn against each other - Leeds play Liverpool, West Ham play Everton, and Blackburn face Chelsea. Favourites Ipswich are at home to Potters Bar or Bristol City. See this news item on the FA site for the full draw. They also have an "exclusive interview" with Liam Brady, who was present at the draw.
