Arsenal beat Barnet 7-0 in a friendly at the training ground last night.
The match featured Tony Adams, Lee Dixon, and Francis Jeffers. And this time, all 3 of them played the full 90 minutes.
Richard Wright also managed half the game, but Wenger has said that Stuart Taylor starts again tomorrow against Middlesbrough
and that neither Wright nor Seaman will be displacing him by right.
While we wouldn't wish to play down the significance of the return of Adams and Dixon, it's Jeffers' form which looks the most important.
With Arsenal's occasional blips coming mostly in games where we fail to score in periods of total domination, the fact that he's finishing well is very encouraging. He got a hattrick in this one, with the other goals coming from Jerome Thomas and Jermaine Pennant.
Mind you, while we seem well stocked in terms of centre halves at the moment, Adams influence as a leader and motivator has
been sorely missed at times, and with Lauren heading off for the African Nations Cup in January we could be seeing Dixon's return as more significant once we've seen the Moose fill in for him tomorrow. Come on Oleg, prove us wrong.
