Arsenal Ladies lost their unbeaten record of nearly 2 years against the professionals of Fulham tonight. The final score in the League Cup Semi-Final at Woking was:
Fulham Ladies - 3 Arsenal Ladies - 2 (after extra time)
Arsenal scored first from a goal by Ciaira Grant in the 23rd minute before ex-lady gooner Rachel Yankey equalised just before half time with a cross-cum-shot. Fulham Ladies took the lead in the second half through Sanchia Duncan before the obligatory Marieanne Spacey stunner on the 83rd minute took the game into extra time. Fulham scored what was to be the eventual winner in the 3rd minute of extra time through ex-Norwegian international international Marianne Pettersen.
Fulham now play Birmingham in the final.
