Final score from Borehamwood:
Arsenal Ladies - 4 Everton Ladies - 2
Arsenal Ladies recovered from their first defeat in 2 years midweek against Fulham by beating Everton Ladies although they did make hard work of it. Everton opened the scoring mid-way through the first half before a Marieanne Spacey freekick provided the equaliser just before half time. Spacey then scored her second just after the break which was followed by another goal shortly afterwards with a Pauline MacDonald deflected shot. Everton pulled one back before Spacey sealed the win and her hat-trick with a well struck penalty when Ellen Maggs had been brought down.
Arsenal Ladies top the table by 5 points and also have a game in hand.
Arsenal Ladies next game is on Sunday January 27th at Borehamwood against Leeds in the FA Cup - probably a noon kickoff so watch this space for further details (if you're not going to that other FA Cup match down the road at Highbury....)!
