Final score from Borehamwood:
Arsenal Ladies - 6 Barry Town - 0
Goals coming from Pauline MacDonald, Casey Stoney with a hat-trick, Ciara Grant and Marieanne Spacey.
Doncaster Belles drew 1-1 with Leeds in the days other big game which now leaves Arsenal topping the Premiership by 4 points with 6 games in hand over Leeds and by 7 points with a game in hand over Doncaster Belles.
A special mention to be made for the return today into midfield of Claire Wheatley who has been out injured since the start of the season.
Credit also to Barry Town who for numerous reasons only started the game with ten players and finished with eight - two having been injured during the match.
The Ladies next play at "home" (Colney Heath FC, High Street, Colney Heath) at 8pm on Wednesday 13th March against Brighton. |
