The under-19s maintain a 4 point lead over Chelsea at the top of their league. Arsenal have 4 games in the league programme left and if they win their league section go directly to the Academy U19 semi-finals.
Meanwhile the under-17s, having finished 2nd to Tottenham in their league, played the first game of their mini-group playoff matches. They are in a group of 4 with Everton, West Ham and Nottingham Forest - each time plays the other once. With the West Ham - Forest game finishing 1-1, Arsenal top the group after the first game.
