Final score from Borehamwood:
Arsenal Ladies - 4 Sunderland Ladies - 1
A lovely warm spring day brought goals from Angie Banks, Pauline MacDonald and a brace from Jayne Ludlow.
Arsenal Ladies now need a maximum of 2 points from the last 2 games to confirm the renewal of the Ladies Premiership title. The first of these is away against Charlton Ladies this Thursday 25th with a 7:30pm kickoff at Bromley Town. The second and final game against Leeds at home was due to be played next Sunday - April 28th - but owing to an England Ladies U19 match taking place this game has been postponed for the time being. It is likely to take place on May 12th and possibly at Highbury. It will also be the final competitive game for Arsenal Ladies legend Marieanne Spacey as she hangs up her well worn boots for the last time. Arseweb will endeavour to confirm the date, time and venue of the Leeds match as soon as possible.
