FA Premier Academy League U19 playoff final, 2nd leg
Wed 15 May 2002
Arsenal 2 Liverpool 3 (Arsenal win 7-4 on agg)
Arsenal scorers: Sidwell 1, Brown 46
Arsenal's senior youth team added another trophy last night, completing an overall victory in the 2-legged under-19 playoff final. Having done the hard work with a 5-1 win at Anfield last week, the youngsters made the trophy even safer last night with a goal in the first minute by Stephen Sidwell. Liverpool briefly threatened to pull off a shock by coming back to lead 3-1 at half time, but another goal by Jermaine Brown in the first minute of the second half killed off the comeback. David Bentley could even afford to miss a penalty 15 minutes from time.
