Arsenal Ladies take on Fulham Ladies in the opening game of the season - the Community Shield - on Thursday 8th August at the home of Leyton Orient (Brisbane Road) with an 8:05pm kickoff. The match will also be shown live on Sky Sports. Fulham Ladies' team will include ex-gooner Marieanne Spacey in their line-up. This will be the first game of two in almost a fortnight for Arsenal Ladies versus Fulham Ladies. The following week Arsenal Ladies are away to Brighton and then on August 25th Fulham entertain Arsenal in the Premiership proper at Woking FC.
Meanwhile Arsenal Ladies defender Casey Stoney has moved to Charlton Ladies so is there anybody left at Arsenal Ladies? Arseweb eagerly await the Ladies Summer Transfer Rumour Mill and some new signings from Ladies Manager Vic Akers.
