(Apologies about the lack of Ladies news lately but I've been on my holidays recently)
Arsenal Ladies have maintained the pressure on Fulham Ladies - the current league leaders - with two victories away to Leeds by 6-3 and at home to Birmingham 5-0.
Arsenal went 6-0 up at Leeds with goals from Angie Banks x 2 and "Freddie" Ludlow x 4 before Arsenal defender Leanne Champ was sent off and Leeds replied with three goals in the remaining minutes.
Meanwhile in a rearranged league game played at Finchley last week against Birmingham the goalscorers were "Freddie" Ludlow (again!) with three goals and two goals coming from Ciara Grant.
Arsenal Ladies now take a break as England are facing Iceland over the next few days in a two-legged World Cup playoff. The next scheduled Ladies games being the UEFA Cup group games starting on Tuesday September 24th.
