Final score from Bishops Stortford in the Ladies UEFA Cup:
Arsenal Ladies - 2 Levante (Spain) - 1
It was the game featuring Arsenal as 8th seeds against the 9th seeds from Spain and Arsenal Ladies just sneaked it with goals from Ellen Maggs and Faye White. This puts them now in the driving seat for the group and they only need a point from the third game against Eendracht Aalst (Belgium) to win the group. The Belgiums themselves lost 8-0 in yesterdays other game against the team from Azerbajan. This third game take place at St. Albans on Sunday (29th) with a 12 noon kickoff.
(Apologies to those who went last night and used my multimap link and discovered an industrial estate where the ground should have been. Either multimap was wrong or the Bishops Stortford website was wrong with their postcode. The ground itself was another two minutes drive north on another industrial estate or if like me you walked from the railway station about another 20 minutes walk)
(Update - I have since discovered that the current ground at Bishops Stortford is fairly new so it looks like they haven't updated the postcode on their website which points to where the old ground was)
