Final score from Brodsworth Welfare in the Ladies League Cup Semi-final:
Doncaster Belles - 1 Arsenal Ladies - 2
Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow scored 2 goals in the first half to put Arsenal Ladies into a commanding position and although the Doncaster Belles pulled one back following Leanne Champ's sending off it wasn't enough.
The semi-pros of Arsenal Ladies now take on the semi-pros of Fulham in the final to be played on Sunday March 30th (somewhere in the London area we assume!)
Meanwhile a promising Division One outfit - Aston Villa - beat Premiership Leeds (Leeds Ladies have lost a lot of players recently so it just isn't on the mens side!) away by 3-0 in the Ladies FA Cup and it will be Aston Villa that Arsenal Ladies will face at St. Albans - this Sunday 9th Feb. |
