Bad news for the rest of the Premiership, Arsenal could
be about to restore another weapon to their armoury.
Freddie Ljungberg made his long-awaited comeback tonight
in a reserve draw with Chelsea.
"Bob the Gooner" writes:
"There were just over 4000 at Aldershot to watch Freddies comeback game.
He came through the game OK and was subbed after 65 mins along with Franny Jeffers."
"Freddie looked lively playing on the right of midfield.
Just like the first team we created loads of chances with Franny and Jeremy Aliadiere the guilty men for missing most of them."
"We took the lead after the ref had awarded us a free kick on the left. The free kick was given after the Chelsea right back came back onto the pitch without
permission after being treated for an injury(!) David Bentley took it and Aliadiere climbed highest to head home on 70 minutes."
"We conceded near the end when the only Chelsea player with first team experience on view, Carlton Cole, put Stuart Taylor under pressure from a cross. Stuart only
succeeded in knocking the ball down and Cole was first to the ball, firing it into the roof of the net."
