Arsenal Ladies started the season with a resounding 9-2 away win against Tranmere Rovers Ladies. Goals came from Alex Scott x 3, Freddie Ludlow x 2, Ellen Maggs x 2, Leanne Sanderson and Justine Lorton (who returns to the Arsenal after having a stint at Charlton).
Arsenal head the table on goal difference (!) ahead of Doncaster Rovers Belles. (Doncaster Belles having finally teamed up with the mens Doncaster Rovers team).
The favourites Fulham Ladies have yet to start their season as they are in Holland for the opening rounds of the Ladies UEFA Cup. |
