FA Premier Reserve League South, Mon 24 November 2003
Arsenal 0 Southampton 1
A young Arsenal team, shorn of various regulars such as Hoyte, Aliadière, Stack (all away with the 1st team squad in Milan) and Thomas (away with the England U20s) lost to a late goal at Underhill last night. With Graham Stack on Champions League duty and Craig Holloway on loan at Crawley, 17 year old Mark Howard was in goal, and Tavlaridis & Juan were the only players over 21. The young Gunners held their own for much of the game against a Saints side which lies 2nd in the table before succumbing to a goal 10 minutes from time.
