Tony Adams played a full 90 minutes at Clarence Pk, St Albans as Arsenal's reserves recorded a 2-2 draw with their Spurs counterparts.
Omer Riza, back from a loan spell in Holland, put the Gunners 1-0 up on the half hour, but two penalties by Stephen Clemence gave Tottenham a 2-1 lead. But midfielder Julian Gray soon put Arsenal back on terms.
Arsenal played much of the second half with only ten men, as Adams' partner at the centre of defence, Brian McGovern was sent off on 55 mins for a second bookable offence - but The Captain was equal to the task.
It's expecting too much, perhaps, for Tone to play a full game against Bradford, but we can expect to see him on the bench at least - and if all is well this morning, he must be a cert to play against Liverpool at the weekend.
(Rupe adds: suggestions in yesterday's press that Seaman would also make his comeback last night turned out to be overoptimistic.
According to last night's Standard, he'll resume training tomorrow). |
