Arsenal Ladies continued their current fine run in the Ladies Premiership by beating Bristol Rovers by 3-1 at St. Albans at the weekend. This leaves them fourteen points from top-placed Charlton Ladies but with 4 games in hand (one of which is at home against Charlton Ladies). Goals came from Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow, Lianne Sanderson and Ciara Grant after Trudy Williams had put Rovers ahead.
The Ladies are also in the London County Cup final after beating Wimbledon 9-0 the previous weekend with Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow and Jo Potter each getting a hat-trick and Ellen Maggs, Lianne Sanderson and Alex Scott getting the other goals. They will now face Fulham in the final on Wednesday April 7th at the Metropolitan Police Sports Ground in Molesey (near Esher) with a 7:30pm kickoff.
The Ladies next game is scheduled to be at home against Aston Villa this Sunday February 29th.
