Arsenal Ladies beat Fulham Ladies by 3-1 tonight to secure the Ladies Premiership at Highbury a few hours after the mens game. Goals coming from Lianne Sanderson and Julie Fleeting before Fulham scored in the last 10 minutes to make the last few minutes very nerve-wracking but then tiny Ellen Maggs scored the third and decisive goal with a header in the last few seconds.
As mentioned previously either side winning would have won them the Premiership and a draw would have given the trophy to Charlton Ladies.
So its Arsenal Ladies with the double this year having won the Ladies FA Cup earlier in the month. |
