Arsenal Ladies - 4 Liverpool Ladies - 1

After a goal-less first half it was Arsenal Ladies that opened the scoring through Angela Banks. Liverpool scored their equaliser not long after and then young Leanne Sanderson restored Arsenals lead. Liverpool Ladies then began to tire and a late brace from Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow secured the three points.

This was a vital result considering that at the same time Charlton Ladies had a shock loss at home to Leeds Ladies and Everton Ladies drew with Birmingham Ladies.
