FA Premier Youth League, Sat 23 October 2004
Arsenal 1 Charlton Athletic 2
The upside down form of the under-18s continued this morning with their 4th straight home defeat, this time against Charlton. The young Gunners' away form is the exact reverse, with 4 successive wins away from the London Colney training ground. They now slip to 5th in the table, 15 points behind runaway leaders Southampton who maintained their 100% record and appear to have the league already sewn up. The young Saints are Arsenal's next league opponents. Only the league winners go on to the end of season semi-final play-offs against the other 3 regional table toppers. The under-16 team also lost to Charlton.
