FA Premier Youth League, Sat 20 November 2004
West Ham United 2 Arsenal 0
The under-18s lost to the young Hammers at the weekend to slip to 5th in the table, and are now 23 points behind the league leaders. Arsenal were 1-0 down at half time, conceded a second half penalty which keeper Michael Jordan saved, only for the rebound to be tucked home. Arsenal were awarded a penalty at the other end, but Jay Simpson put it over the bar. See this report on the official West Ham site.
Meanwhile the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup had been made, and Arsenal have been drawn at home to Crystal Palace. The date of the fixture has yet to be arranged but ties must be completed by 18 December. Traditionally Arsenal play their 3rd round game in either the last week of November or first in December. Last year's home tie was played at Barnet's ground Underhill.
