A brace by the prolific young Italian Arturo Lupoli gave a second successive win to the under-18s against a Charlton team which had won their previous 6 games. However, according to the report on the official Charlton site, their regular U18 players were all being rested for their youth cup game tonight. In contrast, with the likes of Lupoli, Smith and Stokes playing, it might be assumed that Arsenal were giving some practise to the team that is likely to play in the youth cup game against Palace on Thursday.
