FA Premier Reserve League South, Mon 13 December 2004
Crystal Palace 1 Arsenal 1
Arsenal scorer: O'Donnell 3
After the ideal start of a goal in the opening 5 minutes, a more experienced than normal lineup for the Gunners failed to overcome Crystal Palace and had to settle for a draw. With reserve regulars such as Lupoli, Cregg, Djourou & Stokes all eligible & likely to play in the youth cup game (also against Palace) on Thursday, the young Gunners included first team experience in the shape of Hoyte, Senderos & Larsson, but turned in what coach Neil Banfield described as a poor performance. Former Gunners youth player Tommy Black started the game for the Eagles but went off early, injured with what later turned out to be a broken shin.
