FA Premier Reserve League South, Mon 7 February 2005
Ipswich Town 1 Arsenal 2
Arsenal scorer: Lupoli 56,61
A very young Arsenal, with a team that is likely to be close to the starting eleven for next week's FA Youth Cup game (only one player ineligible for the under-18s), came from behind at Portman Road last night to record a 3rd successive win. Italian striker Arturo Lupoli scored twice in 5 minutes early in the second half to take his tally to 12 goals in 12 reserve team games (and 21 in 21, all competitions). Former Arsenal youth player Dean McDonald, recently signed by Ipswich, set up the home side's first half goal for Pablo Couņago.
See this report from an Ipswich fans web site, and the report on Arsenal.com for more details. Arsenal move up to second in the table - check the ArseWeb reserve team page for the updated table and full season stats. |
