Arsenal Ladies beat Bristol Rovers Ladies 5-1 away this afternoon to make a four point gap at the top of the table. Goals came from Lianne Sanderson, Claire Wheatley and a hat-trick from Angela Banks.
The Ladies Premiership table now looks like this:
1 Arsenal FC Ladies 16 42
2 Charlton Athletic LFC 16 38
3 Everton LFC 17 34
4 Bristol Rovers WFC 16 28
5 Leeds United LFC 17 26
6 Birmingham City Ladies FC 15 24
7 Fulham FC Ladies 17 14
8 Liverpool FC Ladies 18 10
9 Doncaster Rovers Belles WFC 16 9
10 Bristol City WFC 18 9
With two games left to go it's going to still be between Arsenal and Charlton. Arsenal Ladies only need to win one of those games to secure the Premiership title yet again. The two games remaining are at home to Fulham and in what could be a title decider away to Charlton. These two games have yet to be arranged as the Ladies are now on their way to Sweden for the first leg of the UEFA Cup semi-final.
