Arsenal Ladies lost 1-0 to Djurgarden/Alvsjo at Borehamwood in the second leg of the Ladies UEFA Cup semi-final and so go out 2-1 on aggregate. Swedish international Victoria Svensson scored the only goal. There was a 20 minute break in play in the second half when the floodlights at Borehamwood failed.
Arsenal Ladies still have two games to play in the Ladies Premiership - the first of which is against second placed Charlton Ladies on Sunday 24th April with a 2pm kickoff at Gravesend and Northfleet FC. Arsenal Ladies just need a point from this game to be Premiership winners even with the game in hand. |
