Arsenal Ladies beat Fulham Ladies by 6-2 in the last game of the Ladies Premiership played today at Wingate and Finchley FC. The Ladies goals came from Julie Fleeting with a hat-trick with Lianne Sanderson, Angela Banks and Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow getting a goal apiece for the other three.

The final Ladies Premiership table looks like this:

1 Arsenal FC Ladies 18 48
2 Charlton Athletic LFC 18 41
3 Everton LFC 18 37
4 Birmingham City Ladies FC 18 30
5 Bristol Rovers WFC 18 28
6 Leeds United LFC 18 26
7 Fulham FC Ladies 18 14
8 Doncaster Rovers Belles WFC 18 12
9 Liverpool FC Ladies 18 10
10 Bristol City WFC 18 9

Both Liverpool and Bristol City are relegated to be replaced by Sunderland and Chelsea next season.

The Premiership trophy was handed back to winning Ladies captain Faye White at the end of the game.

Earlier on Friday night Arsenal defender Anita Asante scored the only goal in England Ladies friendly against Norway. Norway are one of the favouries for the European Championships which are being played later on in June in the north west of England.

Arseweb would also like to send their best wishes for the future to Ladies midfielder Clare Wheatley as she announces her retirement from the Ladies game.
