Arsenal Ladies beat Polish Champions AZS Wroclaw by 3-1 in their opening game in Denmark in the Ladies UEFA Cup. Arsenal took a 3-0 lead through goals from Lianne Sanderson, Rachel McArthur and Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow before Wroclaw scored a consolation at the end.
In the other game hosts Brondby beat Russian Champions Toliatti by 2-0. Arsenal play Toliatti on Thursday and then Brondby on Saturday with the top two from the group going through to the knockout stages. |
