Sorry everybody but I've been away on business so there's a lot of catchup to do on the Ladies. They have had three very important games over the last week or so:

Frankfurt v Arsenal Ladies - UEFA Cup Quarter Final Second Leg -

Although Ciara Grant opened the scoring in the away leg the Ladies eventually lost 3-1 and so went out of the competition 4-2 on aggregate.

Charlton Ladies v Arsenal Ladies - Ladies Premiership -

A very exciting game that ended up as a 3-3 draw. Kelly Smith scored all three goals for the Ladies who were 2-0 down within the first ten minutes. Smith's final goal to equalise for 3-3 came deep into stoppage time.

Manchester City v Arsenal Ladies - Ladies League Cup -

This delayed game was finally won 4-0 by the Ladies with the goals coming from Rachel McArthur, Kelly Smith and a brace from Jayne "Freddie" Ludlow. This puts Arsenal Ladies into the next round which will finally be a home game at Borehamwood on Sunday November 6th against Bristol City.

The Ladies next game is an away game against top of the Premiership Everton Ladies this Sunday 30th October. Lets just have a look at the table to see how important this will be (games played so far first of all and then the points scored so far):

1 Everton LFC 8 19
2 Charlton Athletic LFC 7 17
3 Doncaster Rovers Belles WFC 9 15
4 Arsenal FC Ladies 5 13
5 Sunderland WFC 7 10
6 Bristol Academy WFC 10 9
7 Leeds United LFC 9 8
8 Fulham FC Ladies 9 8
9 Chelsea LFC 9 6
10 Birmingham City Ladies FC 7 2

I'll leave the maths for all of you out there but its nice to see a Chelsea team near the bottom for a change!
