Arsenal Ladies beat Chelsea Ladies by 6-0 last Sunday in the Ladies Premiership. Arsenal now move into second place behind leaders Charlton who are six points in front but our Ladies have two games in hand. The goals were a brace from Kelly Smith, a goal apiece for Julie Fleeting, Rachel McArthur and Lianne Sanderson with an own goal making up the numbers.
The other scores in the Ladies Premiership were:
Fulham FC Ladies 0 v 1 Leeds United LFC
Charlton Athletic LFC 1 v 0 Birmingham City Ladies FC
And so the table looks like this:
1 Charlton Athletic LFC 11 29
2 Arsenal FC Ladies 9 23
3 Everton LFC 10 23
4 Doncaster Rovers Belles WFC 12 18
5 Leeds United LFC 14 17
6 Bristol Academy WFC 13 15
7 Fulham FC Ladies 13 11
8 Sunderland WFC 9 10
9 Chelsea LFC 15 9
10 Birmingham City Ladies FC 10 5
The Ladies next game is away to Everton in the League Cup semi-final this Sunday 11th and they finish the year off with a home premiership game against Bristol on the 18th.
Strangely the Ladies have also been drawn against Cardiff in the FA Cup but they are away on the 8th Jan.
